 Forum Rules & Regulations
We expect all of our members to read our rules. By doing so, you will prevent your self from getting into any trouble on these forums. You can find a link to the rules on the main index of this website. General Rules:- Do Not Spam
One word posts, posts saturated with smilies, double posts and triple posts are considered to be spam.
- Do Not Bump
Bumping is a touchy subject, and this will clarify it: Bumping is when you post in a thread that is over one month old. However, it is allowed provided that you are bumping the topic for a good reason, ex, support. If you post in a thread over a month old with a pointless message, you will be warned.
- Do Not Advertise
You're allowed 2 or 3 links in your signature, but don't make a post just to advertise your website.
- Use The Report Button
Use the report button instead of making a post pointing out what the user did wrong. Staff will handle the report as soon as possible. Please do not abuse this feature.
- Do Not Backseat Moderate
Don't moderate if you're not staff. We have staff here for this reason, so you don't have to worry. Should you think something needs to be taken care of, report it.
- Do Not Create Multiple Accounts
Do not register more than one account per person. Multiple accounts per household are allowed, as long as they are owned by separate people. You are responsible for what goes on under your account so don't share your username or password with anyone. If we see public password sharing, a warn will be placed on your account. DO NOT create another account if you were banned. You were banned for a good reason and we don't want you back until your ban is over and in some cases, forever.
- Don't Type In All CAPS
It is the internet equivalent of shouting and is considered rude.
- Stay On Topic
Stay on topic. Do not post personal messages to people - these things belong in PMs, not in the public forums.
- Keep Things Legal
Your posts, signatures, avatars, or anything else of which you control the content of may not be offensive or illegal in any way. They may not contain pornography, racism, prejudice, etc.
- Try Not To Use Chatspeak
Take the extra second to type out the whole word instead of shortening it. A lot of people have a hard time trying to decode messages containing chatspeak.
- Do not offer or request medical advice
This may seem like a strange rule, but should someone request medical information, and is given information that actually makes their condition worse, the owner of the Penguin Client Library Forums may be held liable.
- Don't post Malicious Software
If you do, you place your account at risk of being banned forever
- Do not post adult content
Pornography, nudity, or anything else of that nature is strictly forbidden. If you post any of these, you will be permanently banned.
If you receive 3 forum warnings, or your Karma falls below -100, you will receive a ban. Bans will vary in length, depending on how severe you broke our rules If you disagree with the judgment of a moderator or administrator, immediately PM an administrator. Do NOT go to the admin or mod whom you are questioning. Signatures and Avatars:- Your signature may not contain anything sexual or gruesome
- Do not have more than 3 links in your signature
- If your signature looks big to you, then it probably is.
- If we have to remove signatures or warn any users about their signatures more than 3 times, your signature rights will be limited, and even restricted.
When it comes to the forums, just use your common sense and you should be fine.
